SolarEdge P300 Power Optimizer
Get the most power from your panels with the SolarEdge power optimizer. This DC/DC converter is connected by installers to each PV module or embedded by module manufacturers, replacing the traditional solar junction box. The SolarEdge power optimizers increase energy output from PV systems by constantly tracking the maximum power point (MPPT) of each module individually.

Monitor your performance
The SolarEdge power optimizer monitors the performance of each module and communicate performance data to the SolarEdge monitoring portal for enhanced, cost-effective module-level maintenance. Each power optimizer is equipped with the unique SafeDC™ feature which automatically shuts down modules' DC voltage whenever the inverter or grid power is shut down.

Allows flexible installation design
The MPPT per module allows for flexibility with multiple orientations, tilts and module types in the same string. When working with SolarEdge Inverters, SolarEdge power optimizers automatically maintain a fixed string voltage, allowing installers even greater flexibility with longer strings and strings of different lengths in order to design optimal PV systems.

The SolarEdge System pushes the envelope in the continuing endeavor to improve gridtie solar power generation. In a SolarEdge System, a DC to DC Power optimizer is paired with each solar panel in an array, allowing each one to operate independently at its highest efficiency.

Benefits to a SolarEdge System include:

Compare the SolarEdge System to other systems

Unlike traditional gridtie systems, microinverter solar power systems have many of the same benefits listed above. Like SolarEdge Power Optimizers, microinverters control the output of each solar panel with Maximum Power Tracking. While microinverters optimize DC power and convert it to AC power, Power Optimizers offer DC to DC power optimization. One great advantage to SolarEdge Power Optimizers is that they can accommodate solar panels of up to 405 watts depending on the Power Optimizer you use.

A traditional gridtie system is similar to a SolarEdge system in that it has a centralized inverter responsible for DC to AC conversion. Some prefer traditional gridtie systems because the inverters are more accessible than microinverters. Others prefer to use a system with proven technology that has been around awhile.
