Less Complicated, More Reliable
Designed to work in conjunction with the revolutionary SolarEdge System, the SolarEdge SE10000A-US 10 kW inverter is a highly reliable, compact, easy to install inverter. In a SolarEdge PV system, the MPPT and voltage management are handled separately for each module via a SolarEdge PowerBox™. This means the inverter is only responsible for DC to AC inversion, and the result is a less complicated, more reliable device. The fixed string voltage ensures operation at the highest efficiency at all times, independent of string length and temperature.

Web-Enabled Data Device Included with Inverter
A proprietary data monitoring receiver is integrated in the SolarEdge SE10000A-US inverter to combine SolarEdge PowerBox™ performance data from each PV module. Multiple inverters can be connected in an RS485 or RS232 bus, which is included with this inverter, or by using a wireless Zigbee MESH network. The data from the inverters is transmitted to the web using an Ethernet connection or a wireless link and can be accessed via the SolarEdge Monitoring Portal for performance analysis, fault detection and troubleshooting.

Integrated Revenue-grade meter

The certified revenue grade meter built into this inverter can report data directly to the SolarEdge monitoring portal, eliminating the need for installers to purchase separate meters. The inverter’s revenue grade data can be used by homeowners to colelct state and federal rebates, including performance-based incentives (PBIs) and solar renewable energy certificates (SRECS.) SolarEdge revenue grade inverters are listed with ANSI C12.1 certification for residential applications.

The SolarEdge System pushes the envelope in the continuing endeavor to improve gridtie solar power generation. In a SolarEdge System, a DC to DC Power optimizer is paired with each solar panel in an array, allowing each one to operate independently at its highest efficiency.

Benefits to a SolarEdge System include:

Compare the SolarEdge System to other systems

Unlike traditional gridtie systems, microinverter solar power systems have many of the same benefits listed above. Like SolarEdge Power Optimizers, microinverters control the output of each solar panel with Maximum Power Tracking. While microinverters optimize DC power and convert it to AC power, Power Optimizers offer DC to DC power optimization. One great advantage to SolarEdge Power Optimizers is that they can accommodate solar panels of up to 405 watts depending on the Power Optimizer you use.

A traditional gridtie system is similar to a SolarEdge system in that it has a centralized inverter responsible for DC to AC conversion. Some prefer traditional gridtie systems because the inverters are more accessible than microinverters. Others prefer to use a system with proven technology that has been around awhile.
