Mt. Shasta is unique, billed as ‘where Heaven meets Earth'. The primary water source for the City of Mt Shasta is Cold Creek Spring, located at an elevation of 4,400 feet on Mt. Shasta.  The springs produce around 2,000 gallons per minute of the purest, unfiltered and untreated water in the nation.  In fact, the City of Mt. Shasta’s drinking water regularly wins awards for being the best tasting drinking water in California or in America!

Senior Sales and Solar DesignMt. Shasta
Position is full time in Mt. Shasta office.  (We also have one satellite office in Taos, New Mexico.)

    Compensation
  • Base salary with bonuses and incentives based on performance.
  • Pay dependent on experience and performance.

  • Two years experience designing solar electric systems for residential and small commercial systems, offgrid and gridtied.
  • Personal experience with your own solar system and/or understanding of general construction and electricity.
  • Training and experience in sales.
  • Proven track record in closing sales.
  • Excellent communication—written and oral.  May be tested.
  • Excellent computer skills. 
  • Self motivated with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of tasks in a fast paced work environment.
  • Sense of humor and relationship skills are important to our work community.
  • Desire to grow with a company that is considering 100% Employee Stock Ownership.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Listen to and communicate professionally with customers on phone and in person to understand their specific needs and motivations.
  • Identify appropriate solutions within the customer’s budget range and develop competitive price quotes for a variety of residential and commercial solar solutions, including complete offgrid, gridtied and hybrid systems, racking and battery backup power.
  • Perform specific follow-ups to build relationships with customers and to optimize conversion to sales.
  • Provide technical support where appropriate.
  • Work with sales/design team to provide the most up-to-date, high quality solar solutions that are available.
  • Meet the customer’s needs while meeting company goals and expectations.
  • Cross training.
  • Exercise abilities to solve problems, come up with solutions, communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, customers and upper management.
  • Analyze sales and performance in relation to expectations and incorporate improvements and new techniques.
