4 STAR SOLAR is the OEM Division of Wholesale Solar, Inc., located at 1119 Ream Avenue, Mount Shasta, CA 96067.
The goal of 4 STAR SOLAR is to fill a demand for a wide variety of pre-wired inverter systems.
The ability to quickly assemble high quality inverters—sized for ANY type of off-grid or battery-based gridtie power system—and to send them to our customers already wired and tested, with appropriate safety components, has proven to speed installation and lower the overall cost of off-grid power.
By purchasing and stocking high quality inverters, disconnect boxes, batteries and power center casing at quantity pricing direct from manufacturers, we are able to pass on excellent pricing to our customers.
Each 4 STAR SOLAR Power Center is carefully assembled, wired and double-checked before being tested in-house. Photos are taken for our records, and all available manuals are packed with the power center before shipping.
Manuals for each Power Center, written by technical staff who understand the products, will soon be available. Because each Power Center is different, manual writing is an ongoing project. We are happy to put you in touch with the technician who wired your product, and we appreciate all feedback.

Our technicians are trained by the manufacturers of the products we use and are supported by over two decades of solar experience of the parent company, Wholesale Solar.
Wholesale Solar founder and Chief Operations Officer Mark Coleman has a long history of involvement in renewable energy. Solar system design and sales was an off-shoot of his green building business Taos Green Solar, begun in 1992 in Taos, New Mexico. In response to several off-grid communities’ needs for a reliable source of home power system components, Mark sought out and developed relationships with manufacturers and distributors of the full range of solar and wind power products.
As a link between end user and manufacturer, Mark has been a key player in the development of technological solutions that make it easier for homeowners to take responsibility for production of their home power. One example is the development of the inverter and disconnect cabinets which offer an elegant, safe solution to the mounting of the inverter power centers. For homeowners who used to have to throw up a hodgepodge of plywood with wires and fuses exposed, this is a great step forward.
