Use a Four Star Solar Power Center at the heart of your off-grid power system.
 The inverter system, sometimes called the "power center", is the most important part of your solar power system. This combo of inverter(s), charge controller(s) and safety components is responsible for running your off-grid power system.
Four Star Solar Power Centers are pre-assembled onto handsome, gray or white metal mounting plates. This is all the gear that converts DC electricity produced by your solar panels, wind turbines or gas generator into useable 120 or 240 volt AC power and directs it into your home (or business or workshop or cabin!).
Your Four Star Solar Power Center is also where you will look for measurements of how much energy your system is producing and how much you are using.
Assembly and Testing
At Wholesale Solar’s OEM division in Mount Shasta, California, our manufacturer-trained technicians do the work (and take the risk) for you. We will mount and wire your system's power inverter(s), solar charge controller(s), safety disconnects, lightning arrestors, breakers and system meters-- ready to hang on your wall.
In addition to the Inverter Power Centers you find listed on our website, we can customize components to meet your unique needs. All of our pre-wired systems are tested before being shipped. |
Our pre-wired, pre-tested power centers save you time and money. Of course, you may buy all the components separately and assemble them yourself as we did two decades ago. Or you can pay your installer or electrician to do so.
The Do It Yourself way is time consuming, and you risk “smoking” the inverter by wiring it incorrectly. If you don’t believe us, do an internet search for “smoke from my inverter”. There’s even a solar business  joke about people who call to say they know they got a defective inverter because there was smoke in it the first time they hooked it up.
Paying a contractor to wire the essential electronics is costly, particularly if that professional has not done lots of them as we have. It’s not that they can’t figure it out. But it’s a complex wiring job on expensive equipment, and the $ clock is ticking while they figure it out.
Because we buy all components in quantities at wholesale prices, and because our technicians are skilled and able to assemble, wire and test power centers in an efficient, timely manner, we are able to pass on excellent pricing on the “guts” of your solar electric system.
Meet “Frankenstein” (on the left). He’s not pretty. (Chad, on the other hand is more handsome than the Power Center!) But plugging new power centers into Frankenstein is what keeps you or your installer from “smoking” your inverter. We test every Inverter Power Center that leaves our shop. If it doesn’t work right, it doesn’t ship.
