Kyocera Solar International—KSI, Japan—has decided to distribute their entire North American quota of solar panels through huge commercial projects and very high volume urban integrators. What that means for Wholesale Solar and our customers is that Kyocera Solar panels are not presently available. As a replacement, we recommend Trina Solar panels. In all of our predesigned gridtie systems, we are replacing Kyocera 210's with Trina's 230-watt module.

Kyocera vs. Trina
Like Kyocera solar panels, Trina Solar is vertically integrated. They grow their own silicon ingots, cut their own wafers, tab the cells, build and test their own modules. This assures higher quality control. (You'll see from this field comparison just exactly how competitive Trina solar panels are with Kyocera panels.)

Kyocera's d.Blue Module Technology

Kyocera solar panels convert sunlight into electricity at the highest possible efficiency. Kyocera's advanced cell-processing technology produce highly efficient multi-crystal solar panels. The entire laminate framed with an anodized aluminum frame for structural strength and ease of installation.

Kyocera has perfected its surface treatment technology and is using it on the entire line of Kyocera KD modules named d.Blue, for its dark blue color.

The newly developed surface treatment processes multi-crystalline silicon cells in order to produce a surface texture that minimizes surface reflectance and maximizes output. The result is the very high 16 % conversion efficiency, one of the highest ratings in the polycrystalline module industry.

d.Blue is perfect for installations on all types of buildings, from residential to large scale commercial systems. The stylish dark blue cells, combined with black module frames, allow the KD solar panels to blend in with the buildings’ architecture while producing energy at exceptional efficiencies.

The d.Blue modules are available in 135, 205 and 180 watt panels. All feature Multi-Contact™ connector cables, a heavy-duty box-style anodized aluminum frame, and an industry high 20-year power output warranty.
