Power One’s Aurora® PVI inverter is an advanced Grid-tie inverter, offering a high level of user customization. This unit utilizes sealed NEMA 4X enclosures, providing unparalleled protection from harsh environmental conditions. Precise MPPT algorithms provide optimal energy yields with up to 96% efficiency. Two input sections, tracking independent MPPT strings, optimize power from two sub-arrays oriented in different directions, different string sizes, or with different PV module models. For use with a single array, both MPPT input sections can be paralleled. This unit accepts a wide range of input voltage (90-600VDC), allowing for an ample variety of design configurations.
Aurora’s transformer-based (isolated) architecture allows compatibility with either negative or positive-grounded systems. The Aurora® PVI 3.8 kW inverter can be configured for 240V split-phase, or 208V/277V (408V WYE) three phase delta output.
Aurora® inverters are compatible with Power One’s cutting edge PVI DESKTOP monitor, providing the user with real time updates on energy production, voltage, and current data via wireless link, RS-485, or CAT5 cable. The PVI DESKTOP monitor uses a color, touch screen, TFT display providing a wealth of information via real-time, high speed updates on up to six Aurora® inverters at once. Wireless communication requires the PVI RADIOMODULE transceiver to be fitted with each inverter.
The new Aurora Easy Control system allows the user to stay in touch with remote installations using either an Ethernet/Internet connection or mobile phone technology. Proprietary modular design allows for future expansion, accommodating up to 128 devices using RS-485 communications port data.
