Kyocera Solar is now only distributing to their entire North American quota of solar panels through huge commercial and urban projects.
What that means to you is that Kyocera Solar panels are not currently available. As a replacement, we recommend Trina Solar panels. You'll see that in our predesigned gridtie systems, we are replacing Kyocera 210 solar panels with Trina's 230-watt modue.

Like Kyocera solar panels, Trina Solar is vertically integrated. They grow their own silicon ingots, cut their own wafers, tab the cells, build and test their own modules. This assures higher quality control. You'll see from this field comparision just exactly how competitive Trina solar panels are with Kyocera panels.

You probably all know that we have enjoyed our Kyocera distributorship with solar panels of full range of wattages and voltages appropriate for grid-tie and off-grid projects. But during our two decades of experience selling solar, we’ve seen panel availability rise and fall, so we don’t get too entrenched in any one brand. Some Kyocera panels will become available again in the fall, but we are not counting on it.

If you compare solar panels, you'll find that the Kyocera KD215GX-LPU solar panel surpasses other panels in quality, efficiency and durability. It has one of the tightest power tolerances in the industry--+5/-0W. This means that the panel you buy will never generate less that its nameplate of 215 watts, but could generate up to 5 watts over its nameplate.

The LPU series has a sturdier construction, allowing for end mounting of 50 pounds per square feet and winds at 130 miles per hour. if you mount your panel in the traditional way, the panel will be able to support a snow load of 113 pounds per square feet... Now, that's progress!

Kyocera also keeps their eye on their environmental impact. They designed the KD215GX-LPU module to have a frame depth of 1.8 inches vs. 1.4 inches. While sturdier, its smarter construction actually means less aluminum is used in each panel and less energy is used to create each panel.
