Southwest Windpower's Whisper 200 (formerly called H80) 1000 watt wind generator is designed for areas with low to moderate wind speed averages (less than 12 mph).

The bigger brother to the Whisper 100 (H40), the Whisper 200 features a 10 ft (3.1m) in diameter rotor and an 80 sq. ft. swept area, providing you with greater output at low wind speeds. The 200 has twice the swept blade area, providing double the potential energy as compared to the H40.  The Whisper 200 also incorporates a permanent magnet alternator powered with an advanced airfoil. Capturing the most energy in its class, the Whisper 200 wind generator delivers 6.3 KWH per day.

The Whisper 200 comes with a controller that offers higher reliability and increased control for battery charging. The compact, safe cabinet design has easily settable voltage regulation points, load dump, and load dump isolation from the battery. The price of the system includes the H40 turbine and the controller. This controller operates with wind energy only.

Southwest Windpower created a series of tower kits for the AIR wind modules and Whisper wind turbines.  The tower kit comes with the hardware needed to install the tower included (except pipe and cement).  With the tower kit you can install your wind generator very quickly- in as little as half a day.
