Who is SunTech?

From Forbes magazine:

"Suntech Power Holdings of Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China, designs, develops and manufacturers photovoltaic, or PV, cells. The company began operations in May 2002. Photon International magazine, a trade publication, says the company is one of the top-ten makers of photovoltaic cells in the world based on output.

Suntech Power cells are sold for residential, commercial, industrial and public-utility use in China, Europe and the U.S. The company says it has increased its manufacturing capacity 12 times in about three years, and that its cells are more efficient than some of its competitors."

And from Solarbuzz.com:

"Suntech Power has entered into a definitive agreement with MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. under which it will receive solar wafers from MEMC over a 10-year period. The total contract size is $5 billion to $6 billion over a 10-year period with significant growth trajectory of annual supply over the years. A pre-determined fixed price reduction curve will provide Suntech with competitively priced wafers as Suntech increases its output to meet market demand."
