Outback Power's SmartHarvest Solar Power Stations (SPS) are engineered solutions for remote power applications. This system is designed to operate with approximately 3 hours of solar resource per day or more and is engineered for continuous, autonomous and automatic operation with minimal field maintenace required. They can be installed nearly anywhere with the included powder-coated NEMA 3R enclosure and high quality racking rated for 90 MPH winds. Built-in circuit breakers protect the charge controller and all sensitive internal circuits. Outback’s EnergyCell RE batteries are included as well as the highest quality racking, charge controller and PV module(s).

Outback’s Solar Power Stations are ideal for anyone who needs remote DC power away from the electrical grid.
  • Farmers with irrigation, remote field/barn lighting, electric fencing and other agricultural needs
  • Park services and rangers operating communicatoins and monitoring equipment
  • Security teams operating camera monitoring and video recording systems
  • Environmental monitoring groups tracking weather, water levels, and operating sampling equipment
  • Facilities operators requiring stand-alone systems with their own power
  • Municipalities looking for a lower-powered LED lighting solution or powering radar speed control signs
  • Highway and transportation operations and maintenance departments implementing Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) alongside roads and construction zones
…and any other application requiring reliable, consistent power in a remote location away from the power lines. Reference the SPS Selection Guide PDF below for more info and help choosing the appropriate system for your application.

About Outback Power

Key Points:

  • Extended warranty, not offered by competitors
  • A trusted name in the renewable energy field, with a solid foundation in engineering
  • World-class customer service and technical support

Headquartered out of Arlington, Washington, OutBack Power was founded in 2001 by a small group of passionate engineers. The small startup quickly earned a reputable foundation by listening to their customers and incorporating many of the changes that were suggested, truly establishing a customer focused company. Today, they are a trusted name in the renewable energy field, offering a vast selection of innovative products that were exclusively pioneered by OutBack Power. Their product line includes off grid inverters, grid-tie inverters with battery backup, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) charge controllers, and communications/network products, along with a wide range of integration and safety hardware. Outpacing many of their competitors, OutBack Power offers an extended warranty option on many of their inverters.

OutBack Power is constantly expanding their industry leading level of customer service with dedicated, direct dial, tech support lines as well as an online "live-chat" service. As a distributor for OutBack Power products, Wholesale Solar is an integral part of the high level of support that customers have come to expect from OutBack Power.

OutBack Power is highly known for providing rugged inverters and charge controllers designed to survive in environments that would normally destroy other inverter/chargers. The FX series of sealed inverter/chargers comes with some of the most rugged features one can find on sealed systems. Some of these features include die-cast aluminum chassis with a powder-coated finish to prevent corrosion, generous use of gaskets and O-ring seals to keep water and small particles out, and a protective conformal coating on all circuit boards. The externally mounted "turbo" cooling system will keep your FX series inverter/charger running at peak performance in high heat conditions.

The FLEXnet ™ DC system has been leading the way in DC system monitoring devices. Integrated networked data from your system easily allows you to stay in constant touch with your system's level of performance and efficiency. The FLEXnet™ DC module seamlessly conforms to either the FW500-DC or the FW1000-DC enclosures, and can easily monitor up to three shunts.

OutBack Power also offers grid-interactive versions of their inverter/chargers, which come in either sealed (GTFX) or vented (GVFX) models, allowing you to sell solar, wind, and/or hydro power back to the utility grid. Utilizing a built-in 60A transfer switch, AC power is seamlessly switched between utility and battery power. For 120/240V power output configurations, the G series can easily be combined or "stacked". Back to Top
