Superior performance
The UB-GC2 by UPG is a 6 volt, valve regulated, absorbent glass mat battery. Absorbent glass mat (AGM) batteries offer a few key advantages over flooded lead acid batteries, including: spill-proof performance in any position, better performance in high-power applications, and better performance in back-up power applications. At 200 amp-hours this battery is a great choice for any off-grid or battery backup system.

Like all batteries, the lifespan depends on how well they are managed. The number of cycles a battery can handle depends on how much of the total capacity is discharged before being charged again. The UB-GC2 batteries should not be discharged completely and should be recharged fully between cycles.

About UPG

UPG's state-of-the-art lead-acid deep cycle batteryis a valve-regulated type—sometimes called "sealed" or "maintenance-free"—which fixes the acid electrolyte in a gel or in an absorptive fiberglass mat. The advantage of this design is that the battery needs no water additions, can be operated in any position, and can be used in close proximity to people and sensitive equipment. These UPG AGM batteries are made in China and distributed from Dallas, Texas. Over the last 5 years, Wholesale Solar has sold thousands of these reliable batteries. We use them in our own backup power systems in our office and warehouse. We have had less than 5 batteries that had to be replaced under warranty. We can recommend them without reservation.
