Customer Service Tech

This position focuses on customer service and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as savvy computer skills. Experience in a fast-paced inside sales or call center environment is preferred. The ideal candidate loves talking with people and finding solutions to customers' needs.

Customer Service Techs are the first point of contact with our customers by phone and are also responsible for greeting our walk-in customers. Customer Service Techs will do a quick assessment of the customer’s needs and then direct their call to the appropriate solar design technician. As a Customer Service Tech, it's up to you to make the all-important, good first impression. Therefore, above all else, you will need to have the customer service skills to put people at ease and instill confidence on our company and our products.

Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming calls and inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Directing calls and taking messages to the appropriate solar technician or department.
  • Maintaining customer records by updating account information.
  • Greeting walk in customers

Wholesale Solar’s subsidiary division Four Star Solar is staffed by well-trained technicians who specialize in pre-wiring off-grid power centers to National Electric Code standards. The ideal candidate for our main Distribution Center and for our Four Star Solar location would be a detail-oriented team player that is motivated to learn our procedures and to do the best job possible.  Advancement is dependent on a positive attitude and the ability to solve problems.

Accountant Position

This is a full-time position working in our Mount Shasta office.

We are looking for an organized and team-oriented accountant to join our growing company.  The accountant will work closely with our other accountants and operations personnel and handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.  The position requires a strong attention to detail, an aptitude for figures, and problem-solving skills.  Accounting and clerical skills will be utilized on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of accounts and preparation of general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements.
  • Assist with bookkeeping duties, including Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable tasks.
  • Process payment request information from sales department, including terms & conditions and ACH requests.
  • Data entry including entering freight bills into Filemaker and Quickbooks.
  • Assist in documenting accounting policy and procedure.
  • Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and daily mail pickup.
  • Administrative and special projects as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent business related field.
  • 5+ years accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • High degree of accuracy and strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
  • Sense of humor and relationship skills are important to our work community.

Inbound Content Manager

This is a full-time position working in our Mount Shasta office.

The Inbound Content Manager will be responsible for producing and overseeing development of highly engaging and educational text, video, and audio content for both B2B and B2C channels for Wholesale Solar and for turning the company’s collective knowledge into shareable, profitable, lead generating content. This position requires extensive communication and collaboration among many departments

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the proposal for implementation and analysis of content marketing campaigns: text, video, and audio.
  • Partner with Sales, Support, Shipping and Product Management teams to translate technical and detailed messaging into relatable content that resonates with our audience in our emails, social platforms, digital ads, blog/website and downloadable content.
  • Plays large role in producing written content.
  • Applies journalistic approach to research and writing for all content production.
  • Oversees all content for email marketing efforts.
