Outback Power FLEXnet DC System Monitor

The FLEXnet DC System Monitor integrates with an OutBack MATE communications device to provide the information you need about your home power system’s health, performance and efficiency. You can easily see your system’s existing condition with this at-a-glance display of your present state-of-charge, whether you are currently charging or discharging your batteries.

Monitor the quantity of energy your system is currently producing and consuming as well as the amount of energy going IN and OUT of your battery bank with the Flexnet. It allows the Mate to display real-time energy production from DC sources, such as a solar array or small wind generators, as well as consumption by loads. It also displays the cumulative electricity your system has produced and used as well as the total amount of power that has gone to charging your batteries today. This screen shows the current day's lowest state-of-charge and allows you to view how your total system production compared to system consumption. You can review past energy production and consumption data for the most recent 128 days, including the minimum battery state-of-charge reached for each day. System data is displayed through a Mate remote and can be used to monitor energy system production and consumption trends.

About Outback Power

Key Points:

  • Extended warranty, not offered by competitors
  • A trusted name in the renewable energy field, with a solid foundation in engineering
  • World-class customer service and technical support

Headquartered out of Arlington, Washington, OutBack Power was founded in 2001 by a small group of passionate engineers. The small startup quickly earned a reputable foundation by listening to their customers and incorporating many of the changes that were suggested, truly establishing a customer focused company. Today, they are a trusted name in the renewable energy field, offering a vast selection of innovative products that were exclusively pioneered by OutBack Power. Their product line includes off grid inverters, grid-tie inverters with battery backup, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) charge controllers, and communications/network products, along with a wide range of integration and safety hardware. Outpacing many of their competitors, OutBack Power offers an extended warranty option on many of their inverters.

OutBack Power is constantly expanding their industry leading level of customer service with dedicated, direct dial, tech support lines as well as an online "live-chat" service. As a distributor for OutBack Power products, Wholesale Solar is an integral part of the high level of support that customers have come to expect from OutBack Power.

OutBack Power is highly known for providing rugged inverters and charge controllers designed to survive in environments that would normally destroy other inverter/chargers. The FX series of sealed inverter/chargers comes with some of the most rugged features one can find on sealed systems. Some of these features include die-cast aluminum chassis with a powder-coated finish to prevent corrosion, generous use of gaskets and O-ring seals to keep water and small particles out, and a protective conformal coating on all circuit boards. The externally mounted "turbo" cooling system will keep your FX series inverter/charger running at peak performance in high heat conditions.

The FLEXnet ™ DC system has been leading the way in DC system monitoring devices. Integrated networked data from your system easily allows you to stay in constant touch with your system's level of performance and efficiency. The FLEXnet™ DC module seamlessly conforms to either the FW500-DC or the FW1000-DC enclosures, and can easily monitor up to three shunts.

OutBack Power also offers grid-interactive versions of their inverter/chargers, which come in either sealed (GTFX) or vented (GVFX) models, allowing you to sell solar, wind, and/or hydro power back to the utility grid. Utilizing a built-in 60A transfer switch, AC power is seamlessly switched between utility and battery power. For 120/240V power output configurations, the G series can easily be combined or "stacked". Back to Top
